 Superstition Springs Community Church Superstition Springs Community Church in Gilbert, AZ is a ten year old daughter church of Sun Valley. When they were ready to build their first building, a 4.3 million dollar project, they came to the BGC Cornerstone Fund. The church was able to move into their building in April of 2005 and in the first 90 days experienced 50% growth in worship attendance. The financing provided by the Fund has increased awareness of the church in the community, and enabled the church to begin several new ministries. One of these ministries is called, Celebrate Recovery, a Christ centered recovery ministry for people looking for true recovery from life’s hurts. The growth in attendance and giving has also allowed the church to fund 2 new staff positions as well. The new facility has given the church a feeling of permanence in the community. It has also freed up the time of volunteer staff previously responsible to set up and tear down each week. This time is now being devoted to other direct service ministries; directly affecting lives in the congregation and community. It is a wonderful experience to be used by God to change lives. It is a joy to partner with Superstition Springs in the mission of transforming lives in their community through the love and truth of Jesus Christ. |
